“KICK OFF TO BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH”
CHARITY CAR SHOW
If you and your family enjoy classic, fast, and unique cars and are looking for some “xtreme” family fun, please come and show your support for this great cause! Spectators are FREE.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – My Candles of Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization that assists low income women with breast cancer, is hosting a Charity Car Show on Sunday September 25, 2011 at Xtreme Indoor Karting from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Attending will be members of The American Cancer Society who will be registering walkers for their upcoming Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in October. BSO Police Explorers and the BSO Pink Fire truck will also be there to show their support. There will be several local car clubs, small business vendors, community members and volunteers. Spectators are FREE!
We are expecting over 150 cars in three categories; classic, muscle and sport compact. Registration fees for car owners who want to enter the competition are $20 before Sept 19th and $25 day of the show. All entrants are eligible to win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies per class plus awards to the Top 40 and 10 more specialty categories including Best in Show and Club Participation. Dash plaques and promotional packs will be given to the first 100 registered vehicles.
Xtreme Indoor Karting will be opening early on Sunday and will be extending their family specials which include a $99 Family Four Pack – 4 Races, 4 Head Socks, 4 Race License, 4 One Hour Game Cards and 4 Rounds of Mini Golf. Car show registered owners will also receive a $20 Gift Card. Xtreme Indoor Karting is located at 5300 Powerline Road just north of Commercial Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. (954) 491-6265.

About Us: My Candles of Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by local breast cancer survivor, Jennifer Huckleberry. Our mission is to grant aid to women with breast cancer whose income or insurance coverage is limited and who reside locally in South Florida. We work with local hospitals, clinics, specialty shops and breast cancer centers as well as have partnered with the American Cancer Society to help women with the overwhelming financial burden that can be incurred during breast cancer treatment and the healing process.
